First time at this new spot, and it was a bit of a mixed bag. The restaurant, kitchen, bar, and staff all looked great, and their uniforms were super clean. Once we sat down, we waited over 5 minutes for someone to even say hi. Zack was our server, and he was probably busy with other tables, but he was awesome at describing the menu and giving recommendations. All our food came out together, which was nice, and it was delicious. We ordered a few sides for the table: mac and cheese, grits, beets, and pan corn. We ended up with two mac and cheeses, and I told Zack we only ordered one. He said he'd take care of it, which was fine. A few minutes later, a manager came to our table and took one of the mac and cheeses away. I don't know why, but in restaurant service, "food touches the table, you can't take it back." I get that we ordered a lot of food we didn't need the extra side of M&C, though. We asked the manager for hot sauce and ketchup, but he totally forgot, so we had to remind him. We totally enjoyed our dinner here. Perfect place for family dinner date with kids. Fried oysters is something I would definitely recommend! The service people were extremely nice! Very few vegetarian options and no vegan options at all which is why am giving 4 star and the restaurant should consider for future!

The margarita pizza was excellent this is a neapolitan-style pie with a light soft crust and just the right amount of crunch. Very light on the sauce and cheese (this is a fresh mozzarella delicate and delicious), heavy on the evoo for a great combination. I am a piece of snob I really enjoy a good crisp no flop New York style pie this neapolitan was a pleasant surprise. I had the romaine salad they call it a wedge but it was really just romaine leaves and a blue cheese or Gorgonzola dressing it was good the pickled onions are a nice addition, I prefer a crisp classic wedge, which this is not. My wife had the mixed greens and berry salad it was very good. She also had the goat meatballs which she said were delicious. I would like to see some more vegetarian options perhaps a house made burger, because these folks definitely know their way around the kitchen. We had a great meal here, highly recommended.

Melissa was a fantastic server. Incredibly attentive, and what I appreciated the most about her, was her ability to call out future scenarios that could happen, and/or clarifying potential expectations about what we ordered, to ensure our expectations were aligned with what we actually ordered. The food was good, portions fair, great location, prices appropriate. We'd love to return.

It’s not often you visit a place as a stranger and leave feeling like family. Before my visit I spoke with Marian, the hostess, who was so welcoming that she offered to join me for lunch and share the story behind the restaurant. As a top Google guide, I usually explore new places with my husband, but he couldn’t make this trip—so Marian’s company made the experience even more special. The food was outstanding. The chicken tasted farm-fresh, Margaux’s succotash is a must, and the mac & cheese was delicious. We also ordered a margherita pizza with pepperoni that tasted like ones I’ve enjoyed in Italy. The onion rings were perfection, and the coconut cake was one of the best I’ve ever had. Shout out to Jo, our server, who made my visit even more incredible by being so attentive! I was also given a quick tour by Joey of the private space dedicated to the owner’s fly-fishing guide and learned about the foundation the owners run to help transform lives in our city. As a cancer researcher who lost a philanthropic mother devoted to helping the homeless in Detroit, that spirit of giving truly touched my heart. I’m excited for the new location opening in my hometown of Davidson. Happy Expl
